It all starts in 1926, Doña Ceferina, with savings sent to her from Cuba by her Husband Don Luis, opens La Bodeguita de Enfrente to feed travellers. Her daughter, Doña Gregoria and her husband Don Manuel immigrate to Venezuela and open several restaurants. In 1967 they return to open Los Corales which is later passed on to their son Mario Torres who will lift the restaurant with his wife Aouda Nuñez to make of it a gastronomic referent in Tenerife. At present Mario Torres runs El Lagar Donde Mario. Los Corales remains opened under the name El Calderito de la abuela managed by Mario Xavier y Fabián Torres who continue the family tradition of good food.
